Other beeswax benefits

Beeswax candles are 100% bee-made, therefore 100% natural. This makes it a renewable resource too, unlike the petroleum products used to make paraffin candles. They also smell natural, since beeswax picks up the honey and nectar scents found in honeycomb.

Tip: On the first burn, allow your wax pool to spread evenly across the top of the candle (30-60 minutes) prior to extinguishing the flame using a snuffer. Wax has a memory, and the first burn determines how your wax pool will behave on subsequent lights. Prior to lighting the wick each time, ensure that the wick is trimmed to 1/4". This helps to ensure that your candle lasts longer, burns more evenly, and provides hours and hours of soot and smoke free light for you to enjoy.

Burn time: Made of 100 percent beeswax, each tea light will burn for 8 to 9 hours. Votives are typically 2 inches in diameter and 3 inches tall. Pure beeswax votives have an average burn time of 16 hours. Before relighting a votive, trim the wick to about a 3/8 inch

To remove the wax completely from your charm after the candle has burned, once cool, remove the charm from the wax pool, and place into a glass container of hot water. (leftover jars work great for this purpose). The wax will float to the surface, and once the water has cooled, you can safely remove your charm, free of any residual wax.

Any item you purchase is one of a kind. There are no two items in our shop that are exactly the same. Even if the fabric, paper, ink or wax is from the same dye lot, the unique patterning of colors will always make each item beautifully different.
