Denver Colorado Topography map decoupage wood art earrings

Denver, Colorado is where I call home. I created these earrings using a paper topographical map, gold paint for accents, and wood tear drops with silver toned ear wires. The border with New Mexico, and Fisher's Peak are also highlighted. The distinctive characteristic of a topographic map is the use of elevation contour lines to show the shape of the Earth's surface. Elevation contours are imaginary lines connecting points having the same elevation on the surface of the land above or below a reference surface, which is usually mean sea level. I love the lines that follow the state borders, the beautiful green spaces, and the mountains represented on these earrings. I hope you'll love them too.
